  • Kris Fattor, DVM

    Medical Director

Dr. Fattor has spent his adult life treating every pet as much as is possible as if it was his own; often taking patients home or spending the night at the office with critically ill patients.  Striving to not turn any client in need down, he knows what it’s like to be on the other end of the phone when you need help for your pet, and has made it his calling to be an advocate for each patient and their human companions.  Dr. Fattor feels honored and grateful to have served generations of clients and their animal companions.

As a third-generation Coloradan, Dr. Fattor practiced mixed animal practice early in his career but pursued a companion animal-centered practice after purchasing Green Mountain Animal Hospital from Dr. Wayne Smith in 1996.  He has continued to be a leader in his professional community by serving on local, state, and national veterinary associations, including as president of the Sierra Veterinary Medical Association and the Denver Area Veterinary Medical Association.  He also served on the Colorado State Veterinary Medical Board and on the American Association of Veterinary State Board advocating for the client and patient consumer protection.

Dr. Fattor is a member of the Comparative Gastroenterology Society, which contains many of the top gastro-enterology internists in the U.S.A. and Europe, and routinely participates in their meetings.  He enjoys all aspects of patient health, from medical, nutritional, and behavioral issues to advanced soft tissue and orthopedic surgery. He has completed more than one hundred hours of continuing education in each of the last twenty years when only thirty-two hours are required bi-annually for licensure in the State of Colorado.  He also graduated from the Sound Imaging Academy of ultrasonography in 2015.

  • Laura Garms, DVM

    Veterinarian

Dr. Garms has practiced veterinary medicine for more than 35 years and loves what she does. Her passion for internal medicine and general surgery has grown in tandem with her experience. In addition to providing preventive care, Dr. Garms enjoys the daily challenges of diagnosing ad treating the numerous ailments, illnesses, and injuries that present themselves, and helping pets and their people feel much better. She sees each animal as a beloved individual and strives to provide the best care possible. Dr. Garms has a special place in her heart for rescued pets and service animals.

Laura grew up in Texas with three sisters and three horses. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Science, magna cum laude, from Texas A&M University in 1980 and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Texas A&M in 1984. Small animal internal medicine has always been of special interest to Dr. Garms and early in her career she was fortunate to work alongside, and learn from, a board-certified internist.

Dr. Garms has lived in Colorado since 1994 and has been an associate veterinarian at Green Mountain Animal Hospital since 2000. She enjoys hiking, travel, and spending time with her family and their dogs Francis, Adi, and Rubi.

  • Sabrina Walker, CVT

    Technician

I joined Green Mountain Animal Hospital in 2014 and enjoy the everyday challenges at Green Mountain that range anywhere from a snake bite to a spay. The best challenge for me is dentals.

I am a proud member of the CACVT (Colorado Association of Certified Veterinary Technicians). In my down time, I spend time with my husband hiking and fishing, but mainly enjoy spending time with our new grandson.

  • Heather Wilson

    Technician

Veterinary medicine is, simply put, awesome! Even at an early age, I appreciated the connections people have with their pets. I enjoy the day-to-day challenges of different pet situations I’ve encountered since joining the GMAH team. I’m always interested in learning and improving my ability to help animals.

  • Cathy Henke

Cathy joined our practice in 2002. Her hobby and passion is taking care of geriatric horses.

  • Tori Randall

    Client Services

I have always adored animals. My current cat is the latest in a long line of pets I have owned from bunnies, mastiffs, to many, many cats. When I applied, I felt this job would continue to cement that adoration and it has yet to disappoint. I look forward to seeing all the pets every day and knowing we are here to help them. Working here helps me stay “paw”sitive while I make my way through college.

  • Sabrina Salazar

    Client Services

I have been a part of Green Mountain Animal Hospital since September 2021. I have always loved and cared for animals. I look forward to seeing all the cute puppies and kitties that come in every day, (even making cute Tik Toks). This is an awesome place to work and I look forward to seeing all your cute little babies!

  • Leah

    Client Services

After graduating from Regis University in 2021 with a Bachelor of Science in Biology, I joined the Green Mountain Animal Hospital Team as a receptionist. As a life-long animal lover, I couldn’t ask for a better job! It is a joy to greet and assist pets and their adoring owners make each day fulfilling. I currently have two dogs of my own with which I have an incomparable connection.  It is an honor getting to see others with the same connection and be able to help them in any way I can.
